The Second Grade project for the "WE LOVE BOOKS" contest was to write a letter to their favorite author. The many authors that will be receiving these letters will be most grateful, I'm sure.When my partner and I asked them if they were having fun, they all answered with an excited "YES!"
The teachers in each classroom first worked with their students on the different parts of a letter.

The students then practiced writing rough drafts and what should be written in each part of a letter and where it is placed.
