As you know our school, South Side Elementary, entered a contest called "We Books".

On February 18, 2003 everyone in our elementary attended an assembly. We were not told what the assembly was about. What a surprise we had when we arrived in our high school auditorium and saw the finished product of the We Love Books Contest sitting on tables on the stage.

As our principal, Mr. Salerno, began to speak we knew why we were there,
SOUTH SIDE ELEMENTARY HAD WON THE GRAND PRIZE IN THE CONTEST!!


Mr. Salerno accepted the trophy from Mr. Chris Andrews for our school. Mr. Andrews is the Regional Representative for Sagebrush Econo-Clad. You can visit their web site by clicking here



Each teacher was called to the stage to accept certificates, as well as bookmarks,
for each of their students.


A special "thank you" goes to Mrs. Marina Stockdale for bringing this idea to our school and helping us work together to create a successful, award-winning project!
