Directions: Set up 4 chairs like a baseball infield,
one chair for each base. Divide the class into 2 equal teams. Each
team makes out a list of the batting order for the team. One team
starts on offense and the other is on defense. A team is only allowed
to have 3 outs before it is the other team's turn. The game is over
when the teacher says to stop. The team with the most points wins
the game.
Offense
To
bat the first player is asked a question by the teacher. If the
question is aswered correctly the player sits in the first base
chair. If the question is not answered correctly the player is out.
As each question is answered correctly the players move around the
bases. A point is scored when a player reaches home base.
Defense
The
defense should be paying attention to the questions. If a question
is answered incorrectly the defense becomes the outfield. The outfield
can work together to try and answer the question correctly. If the
outfield answers the question correctly another out is given to
the offense.
