The  Gift  of  the  Nile

Egypt  was known  as  the "Gift  of  the  Nile" because it provided  the  Egyptians  with  food  and  water  for  their crops. The  Egyptians  were   thankful  for  the   river   because  it's rapids,  protected  them  from  attackers  that  would  try  to  take  over  their  land. The  Nile  also  helped  them  build  their  houses  with  mud. The  river  was  helpful  to  the  Egyptians, because  it  was  their  only water source to  go  to when  water  was  needed   for  their plants.  It  was also a good   place   to  bathe or wash  clothing.
