The yak is about 6 feet tall and weighs up to 1,200 pounds. The female usually weighs 468-495 pounds. It is covered with black and brown hair. It's nose touches the ground and it looks like a rug.

It is usully found in Tibet and Asia.

They prefer cold, dry plateaus.

At zoos they eat vendaloo,prefer tea and black cofee.

The yak breeds very carefully.

There are only about 12,000,000 yaks left in the world.
