
Appearance
The wooded bison has a large head and neck. Its horns are brownish black and it weighs from 1,600 to 2,000 pounds. It has 14 pairs of ribs.
Range
The wooded bison are found in Belarus, Poland, Lithuania, Russia, USA, and the Ukraine.
Habitat
The wooded bison prefers water lands and forests.
Food/Diet
This animal likes to eat grass and other small plants.
Breeding
They mate when they are 3 years or older. A single calf is born in May through June.
Status
There are only about 3,000 wooded bison left in the world.
