Appearance
The indigo macaw is a bluish color
with a black neck. The length is about 40 inches and weighs about 1,250
grams.
Range
This bird lives in the northeastern Brazilian State of Bahai.
Habitat
The indigo macaw prefers the deep canyons and dry desert like plateaus. They nest on sandstone cliffs and cliff places.
Food/Diet
They eat on very hard nuts and licuri.
Breeding
This bird lay eggs in their nests, which is on the cliffs.
Status
There's an estimated 200 left, but their exact population is unknown.
