Appearance
It used to be that bald meant white hair instead of hairless. Female eagles weigh up to 14 pounds and has a wingspan of about 8 feet. This time the males are smaller weighing 7-10 pounds and has a wing span of 6 1/2 feet. The white head and tail feathers form at the age of about
4-5 years old.
Range
Since it is United States of America there for it only lives in North
America.
Habitat
Usually they nest on cliffs and trees of all the biomes in North
America.
Food/Diet
In midwinter it will feed on dead or crippled water foul, fish, and
other wildlife.
Breeding
These birds mate for life and build huge nests 10 feet across and
20 feet deep weighing 2 tons. They lay 2-3 eggs, which hatch in 35 days.
Status
In 1940 the eagle gained full protection, it is now severely threatened but not endangered.
