Andrea Neal

She is also one of them well-known women players. She first started playing T-ball at the age of five. During the next four years she played on the T-ball Rep. teams and won many championships including the world T-ball Crown! Next came Little league for the next four years. When she was 12 she was the catcher for the High Park Braves. In October 1998 she went with Toronto Playgrounds to Tucscon Az. In the1999 season she played for the Agincourt A's. They won all of their tournaments and went on to a championship! This past summer she was a member of Team Ontario.

Julie Croteau

Julie is one of the well known women baseball players playing for the SilverBullets, an all women's professional baseball team. . She was born on 12/4/70 in Berkeley, CA. She attended Osborn Park High School in 1988. Then, when she was finished high school, she attedded St. Mary's College in Maryland. She played first base and was player number nine. Carolina Diamond's third baseman Monica Armendarez won her second Home Run Championship after she shattered the single-season record of 10 home runs.

  • Little League baseball teams compete in more than 75 countries.

     

  • Baseball games between college teams have been played since the Civil War.

     

  • A baseball must be between 9 and 9 1/4 inches in circumference.

     

  • A baseball must not weigh less than 5 ounces but not any more than 5 1/4 ounces.

     

  • Bats are limited to a maximum of 2 3/4 inches in diameter.

     

  • Bats are limited to a length of 42 inches, but may be any weight.

     

  • The first Little League was started in 1939 with 3 teams.

     

  • In 1974, girls started playing on Little League teams.
