Habitat: Southwestern China
Size: The male weighs up to 265 lbs
(the females weigh less). They are about 5 feet tall when
standing.
Diet: It eats stems, leaves, young
shoot of various types of bamboo, eggs, berries, fruit,
flowers, fungi, grasses, bark, and occasionally small
animals.
Why endangered: They are dying from
starvation because they can't cross inhabited villages
and farmland. They are unable to migrate to new areas.
Basically, there is habitat destruction.
Fast Facts: Pandas spent 16 hours a
day eating! They eat somewhere between 24-45 pounds of
bamboo a day.
