Polar Bear

 

Habitat: Coast of North America, Northern Russia, and Greenland

Size: Males weigh up to 990 pounds, females weigh up to 770 pounds. When they are standing, they are between 8 and 11 feet tall.

Diet: Polar bears are carnivores. They eat seals for the most part. They also eat lemmings, arctic foxes, eider ducks, and some vegetation.

Why endangered: Hunting

Fast Facts: Polar bears are great swimmers and can swim up to 6 miles/hour and can swim for up to 50 miles at a time. They have a great sense of smell.
