Francisco Pizarro
Pizzaro was born in Spain around
1478. He lived in Panama as a cattle rancher for a while,
until he heard about the great riches of the Incan Empire
in South America. He and his three brothers and about 180
other men headed to Peru. He conquered the Inca Empire in
Peru and claimed it for Spain. The Spanish king gave
Pizarro control over ruling Peru, and he did so until
1541. In 1541 he was killed in his own home, while having
dinner, by his former exploration
partner.
