| Janet | What do you think? Should I pack my teddy bear? Hmm...Should I pack the big one or the one I've had since I was a baby? |
| Josh | Any of them. But don't you think the other kids will laugh at you? |
| Janet | I don't care. I never leave home without one. |
| Josh | Don't say, "Never." Remember the time we went to Disney World and you didn't take a teddy bear with you? We don't want that to happen again, now do we? |
| Janet | I remember it like it was yesterday. I got scared - really bad scared. It was the worst time of my life! I really needed my bear. I wasn't in my own bed and the noises and the shadows terrified me. |
| Josh | Yeah, but just remember that I'll be at camp with you. I'll be your bear. |
| Janet | But you're always teasing me. Will you be there to protect me in the middle of the night? My bear gives me confidence to overcome my fears. |
| Josh | Sure. What are big brothers for? I'm only playing around with you. |
| Janet | Remember that we'll be there for two whole weeks. That's an awful long time not to tease me. You won't forget your promise? |
| Josh | Of course not! You're such a worry wort! |
| Janet | See. There you go again. Picking on me! |
| Josh | Well, that what big brothers do, too. Haven't you ever heard of sibling rivalry? But just in case, go ahead and pack your teddy bear. Now hurry. We've got to get going. Mom wanted us to be all packed by the time she got home from the store. |
| Janet | I'm not sure I want to go. |
| Josh | We've got to go. Mom & Dad already paid for it. I know... you can bring your teddy bear and a picture! You can look at the picture whenever you like. That should help. |
| Janet | Which picture? I have so many. Should I bring
the one of Sparky on the
front porch? No! The one of us in the pool? No! How about the one where you're sucking your thumb? |
| Josh | No! No! You wouldn't dare bring that one.. Would you? |
| Janet | (Singing) Oh, yes I would! I would bring it in a case. I would show it to your face. I would post it on the wall I would tell them one and all. Just because you're older doesn't mean your bolder! |
| Josh | Oh, no you don't! I'll....I'll... |
