State
Song
What do you think
the Kentucky’s state song is? I will tell you what Kentucky’s state song is.
It is “My Old Kentucky Home”. Stephen Foster wrote “My Old Kentucky
Home”.
State Fish
Have you ever been fishing before? I have and I know what the state fish
is. The state fish is the Kentucky bass. When my dad and me go fishing we always
catch that bass. Of course I did not mind that because I know that there are more
bass in Kentucky’s lakes, rivers, and ponds.
State Flower
Kentucky’s state flower is the goldenrod. The goldenrod has a gold
color. The goldenrod is on Kentucky’s flag. Next time you look at Kentucky’s
flag look for the goldenrod on the flag.
State Bird
The state bird of Kentucky is the cardinal. The red cardinal is a male
and the brown cardinal is a female.
State Wild
Animal
The State wild animal is the gray squirrel.
When you come to Kentucky or live in Kentucky you always see the gray squirrel.
The gray squirrels have very long claws so they can climb trees.
The State Tree
Kentucky’s state tree is the tulip tree. The tulip tree is a very
pretty tree. It is also known as the yellow poplar. It is the tallest broadleaf
tree in the Eastern United States. It can get up to 200 feet, and its trunk is
5-10 feet thick. The tulips are an important source of nectar for bees.
