VENUS
Venus is a rocky planet. It is also called "Earths Twin," even though it is really very different from Earth. Venus is around 67 million miles from the sun. The surface gravity of Venus (Earths gravity being 1) is 0.91. Venus is a little smaller than Earth and is 7, 519 miles in diameter. Venus gets up to 900° (F) so its surface is rocky but mushy.
The atmosphere of Venus is so dense it can stop small meteors from impacting its surface and creating craters.
A spacecraft called Magellan found a channel on Venus that is about 4,200 miles long. That is longer than the Nile on Earth!
The clouds on Venus are made up of Sulfuric Acid so dont plan to go outside on that planet.
