Mercury

By: Andrew

This time we are talking about Mercury. Mercury gets very hot but it can’t stay hot because there is no atmosphere. The highest temperature during the day can get to 932 degrees (F). The lowest temperature in the night gets to be minus 328 degrees (F).

There are no gases on Mercury. The surface gravity is 0.38. (Compared to Earth’s gravity of 1)

Mercury gets so cold it is colder than the South Pole. Since Mercury has almost no atmosphere to slow down meteors, the planet is heavily cratered. It is the second smallest planet in our solar system.

These are some of our cool facts about Mercury. Come again and have some fun.
