French Onion Soup Recipe

Here's another onion recipe for you to make and enjoy!

French Onion Soup ingredients:

1 ½ pounds onions, thinly sliced (6 cups)

¼ cup butter or margarine

3 10 ½ -ounce cans condensed beef broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

¼ teaspoon salt

6 to 8 slices French bread or hard rolls, toasted

Grated mozzarella cheese

In a covered 3-quart saucepan cook sliced onions in butter till tender, about 20 minutes. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and dash pepper. Bring to boiling.

Toast slices of French bread under broiler until lightly brown.

Ladle soup into broiler proof bowls. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and broil until cheese is lightly browned.

Serves 6-8
