Gram's Handed-Down to Joshua Creamed Onion Recipe

Ingredients:
  • small white or pearl onions, fresh, canned or frozen
  • one can cream of onion soup
  • 3/4 cup of milk
If using canned onions, drain liquid. If using fresh, peel onion skins. Boil onions in water until tender. Drain water, put onions aside.
In a pot, use one can of cream of onion soup...
...slowly add 3/4 cup of milk, stirring often until boiling.
After soup comes to a boil, add onions, simmer over low heat until onions are heated thoroughly. Serve hot with meal.
