 | | Hedge Hog, a common name for any spiny mammal creature. It
may look like a porcupine, but it is more closely related to a mole or a
shrew. When it is in danger, it rolls it self up in a ball, spikes
outward. During the day they hide in rows of hedgerows, and come out at
night to hunt. They eat insects, worms, frogs, snakes, and bird's
eggs. The European Hedgehog hibernates during the winter, although it's
torpor is not very deep. |
