Born in 1970, Rodney has been blazing a trail through skateboard competitions and news. He started skating at age 11 after begging his dad for months to get a board. In the following two years Rodney got all the practice that he needed to become a pro, which made him one of the youngest skateboarding pros ever. Rodney went on to become the world freestyle champ 35 times over! Rodney has also invented moves like the kickflip, the kickflip-underflip, 360 flip, casper, and darkslide, to name a few. One of Rodney’s goals that he wants to accomplish is to be better on transition skateboarding. Rodney thinks that the two main tricks that he accomplished and couldn’t believe he was rolling away from are some of his best moves: the one and one-half flip to casper slide, and the casper slide 360 flip.
