The Golden Kite Award

The Golden Kite Award is an award given for excellence in children's literature. Authors and artists decide who will receive the award. To be eligible to win this award, an author or illustrato must be a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. They give out four Golden Kite Awards each year. The Four categories are fiction, non-fiction, picture book, and illustrations. The award winners receive an Honor Book Plaque and the illustrated award winner receives a certificate of acknowledgement. To learn more about The Golden Kite Award visit their web site.
