Marcia Ball grew up in the small town of Vinton, Louisiana. Marcia Ball attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in her young age. By the early 1980's Marcia was focusing on the Gulf Coast rhythm & blues. Her albums Soulful Dress, Hot Tamale Baby, Gator Rhythms, and Blues Let Me Play With Your Poodle are her top rhythm & blues albums. Marcia got together with Angela Strehli and Lou Ann Barton to make an album and they named it Dreams Come True. The album Dreams Come True was released in January of this year.
