Cell Block

The cells in Alcatraz were very strict. Like you could only have one person in each cell. They did this because the gaurds were afraid that the prisoners would work together to break out.

These cells were very little they could only hold a small a metal cot with a small matress. They cells also had a sink, tiolet, and somtimes a window. There were different levels of cells in the prison.

The best behaived prisoers went to the top that was called cell block A. The cells went all the way down from A to B; then to C then down to D.

Sometimes you could even go to the Dungeon Hole. The top amount of prisoners in the prison were 260-275.

The cells were cemented and their fore it was extremly hard to break out of. It was encased with bars. It had a few walls that were made from cement. This prison was not to complex.
