Mayan Days - Tzolkin Calendar The 260-day or Sacred Count calendar used a count of 260 days. It is also called the Tzolkin. There were 20 day names and each was represented by a symbol. This calendar gave each day a name, like our days of the week. Each name had a meaning and some days had two or even three meanings. The days were numbered from 1 to 13. Since there are 20 day names, after the count of thirteen was reached, the next day was numbered 1 again. The numbers 13 and 20 are the key numbers of the Tzolkin |
