Many teams had trouble finding a home
ball park. Most team owners
didn’t have enough money to build their own parks. Stadiums at that time were
usually built by rich, white people who put their family name above the door.
Only the American Giants had a home field in Chicago.
Other teams had to rent the field when the white professional teams were
out of town. These arrangements
were often difficult and made it hard to set up NNL schedules.
