Kansas City, Missouri
The longest running franchise in Negro League history was the Kansas City
Monarchs. They played 37 seasons. They won over a dozen league championships.
Kansas City won their first World Series against the Hilldale Giants from
Philadelphia in a 10 game series that had some of the best players in the
league. The Monarchs sent more players to the Major Leagues than any other team
after the color barrier was broken.
