The eight Negro teams established in the Midwest were the American Giants, St. Louis Stars, Kansas City Monarchs, Detroit Stars, Indianapolis ABCs, Cuban Stars, Chicago Giants and Dayton Marcos. Two East Coast teams were added the following year. This was called the Negro National League ( NNL ).
