Rube Foster was the one that held the Negro National League together. That’s why the league had so many problems when he died. He died at age 41, in 1930. More than 6,000 people attended his funeral. It was raining and hailing at the burial site as well. That is one of the main reasons that Negro League Baseball ended. People really missed him after he died.
