Michelangelo
Michelangelo devoted his whole life to the making of art. He was born in Caprese, near Florence,Italy somewhere between March 6 1475-1564. As a child, Michangelo was sick and skinny, but later became very strong and energetic.
His father (who was a judge ) thought that he saw lucky signs in the sky, so he thought his son would have heavenly powers. He hoped his child would be a scholar, but Michelangelo loved painting, schetching, and drawing day and night. When he was 12, he became an apprentice for the most famous painter in Florence Italy,Domenico Ghirlandago.
Michelangelo's most famous work was his painting of the Sistine Chapel. Julius II loved art just as Michelangelo did. So he gave this job to Michelangelo.
His first supposed interest was making large marble statues. Because of his greatness most people don't bother to learn his last name (Buonarroti).
