Ben Franklin

    You know part of why Ben Franklin is one the most respected of our forefathers. As we all know, Franklin discovered electricity, and we thank him for that. But very few people know that Ben also helped write the Declaration of Independence, and that he was the founder of the Pennsylvania Gazette, which he published in 1728. Also, Franklin started the Philadelphia Academy.

    Ben is also the reason we can roast turkeys on Thanksgiving, ham on Christmas, and everything else we cook to eat. The reason is Ben Franklin made the Franklin stove. The Franklin stove was the first machine used to cook with out using an open fire.

In my opinion, Ben is as important as George Washington!
