Some people think Bigfoot comes from outer space. They think that because most U.F.O. (Unidentified Flying Objects) sightings and Bigfoot sightings are similar. There was an incident in Pennsylvania in the year 1973 where several people were attracted to a glowing ball in the sky. When it landed, two tall, hairy creatures stepped out. A man shot at one of the creatures. The creatures hurried back onto the glowing ball. The glowing ball began to rise. The creature’s yells of pain could be heard until the glowing ball was out of sight.

Jerry Crew is responsible for the name Bigfoot. He was working one day in British Columbia mining oil when he came across some unfamiliar footprints. Two months later, he found some more footprints that looked similar to those he had seen before though they were not in the same place. He made a plaster cast of them. Since the footprints were so big, he called the mysterious creature, ‘Bigfoot’. From then on, the name Bigfoot stuck.
