Preparing for a
Hurricane
|
|
When preparing for a hurricane cross tape
over the windows to prevent flying glass, and then put
boards over the big windows and stormshutters.
Usually, a Hurricane watch is within 24 to 36 hours
before the hurricane is acually in your area.

After that, go into your basement with a
battery powered radio and flashlight so if the
electricity goes out, you'll be able to know when the
storm is over. Then get buckets and pails of water
because the water mains might be broken. And have a
first aid handy for any injuries.
