Science City in Union Station is a ‘learn by doing museum’.  Science City also has actor/actress  residents that interact with the visitors.  When you come to Science City, you can broadcast a weather or news report, dig for dinosaur bones, ride a high wire bike, play in tunnels and visit the Mr. E. Hotel that’s filled with optical illusion and mystery!  In Science City’s Uptown, you can enjoy a view of Science City, solve a crime in the crime lab, and blast off into space.  On the South Side, you can experience nature in the city, explore caves or work on a high-tech farmyard.  In Old Town, you can explore an old time barbershop, the Jones Store, a covered wagon, Grandma’s Boarding House and a gas station with an old car you can pretend to ride in and/or drive.  In the Downtown section, you can tour the human body, help out during a surgery, design a robot, or all of the above!

Science City also has City Nights.  This consists of three shows.  The first is City Extreme Screen, sponsored by Vic and Heather Regnier.  On this five-story screen that has two and three D images, they try to bring the film and your senses to life.  The next show is City Dome.  In this domed theater, they use lasers, special effects, and multi-channel sound to try and transport your senses to another dimension.  In the third show, City Stage, you will see state-of-the-art live, stage setting, performers, special effects and rear screen images.  Science City is a great place to go!
