

Bernard "Barney" Corrigan was born in Canada in 1847 and at the age of 21, he and his three brothers came to Kansas City to make their mark. Mr. Corrigan made a fortune in railroads, and built Kansas City’s first citywide street railway. In 1902, he became president of the Metropolitan Railway Company and of the Kansas City Electric Light Company as well.
