The Nile River

The Nile River is very interesting. It has a variety of plants and animals. It also has the Aswan High Dam to produce power.

Where is the Nile River? The Nile River flows through the northeastern part of Africa not just Egypt. The Nile has tributaries that flow through nine countries. Those countries are Uganda, Sudan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Zaire, Kenya, Tanzanian, Rwanda and Burundi. There are also many major cities along the Nile. They are Port Said, Cairo, Alexandria, Hurghada, Karnak, Thebes/ Luxor, Aswan, Khartoum and Gondokoro.
