In this paragraph is some information
about violence. Many people say that one school ,state or
county is dangerours or bad because of the threats or
shootings that have happened! It can happen anywhere.
Nevada, Maine, Florida, or Oklahoma! It is a big world
and no where is the safest! Many schools have set up
anti-violence programs to help prevent violence.
According to the American
Academy of Pediatrics "By the
age of 18,the average American child will have viewed
about 200,000 acts of violence on television
alone.....Media violence affects children by: Increasing
aggresiveness and anti-social behavior. Increasing their
fear of becoming victims. Making them less sensitive to
violence and victims to violence. Increasing their
appetite for more violence in entertainment and in real
life."
We think that the world is not safe as
some people think, but we as children need to take
action. We are the victims. Let's start to help prevent
violence!! We can make the difference!
