1. The team that wins the coin toss has the choice to kick the ball or receive the kick. |

2. On the kickoff if the ball lands all the way in the end zone the receiving team can start play on the 20 yard line or they can do just a regular return. |

3. If a player runs the ball in to the end zone or catches a forward pass he scores 6 points for a touchdown. |

4. After the team scores a touchdown they decide rather to go for a field goal which is worth 1 extra point or go for a 2 point conversion where the team runs or passes the ball over the goal line. |

5. The defense can score by tackling the ball carrier in his own end zone (which is called a safety and is worth 2 points). |

6. The offense has 4 downs to get at least 10 yards which makes another 1st down. For each 1st down the offense gets another set of 4 downs. |

7. When a player runs out for a forward pass they must have both feet in bounds for it to be a complete pass. |

8. On a punt the punt returner may run back with the ball, or may signal for a fair catch, which prevents the opposing team from tackling which could cause a fumble. |
