The Wombat
A full grown Wombat may reach up to 3ft.( over 90 cm.) These cute little animals live in deep tunnels that are dug into banks. Which explains its long claws. Wombats can cause a bit of trouble. Embankments crumble because of the deep tunnels underneath. The tunnels are usually about 9ft long (about three metres).
The Wombat is a marsupial, native to Australia. It eats grass, roots and other plants. Their chisle-like teeth continue to grow without stopping.
The Wombat stays in his mothers pouch for about 6-9 months, and leave his mother at 12 months.
