The Platypus, as you can see, has a flat mouth, that looks like a duck's bill. The Platypus can stay under water for 5 minutes, as it swirls, and twists like a little acrobat in the water. The Platypus swims under water with its eyes and ears closed! The Platypus is 30- 45cm long and weighs 1- 24kg.
The radar-like bill tells it where foods, like worms and insects, can be found.
The Platypus eats larvae, shrimps and worms.
The Platypus and the Echidna are the only egg-laying mammals in the world.
