Emu

The Emu is a flightless bird resembling an Ostrich. It eats grass, flowers, seeds, insects etc. Because of their long legs, (each three toes) Emus can run really fast. They are 1.5 to 2 meters tall and weigh 45 kg. (Usually the females are larger.) They live up to 6 years.

The female Emus makes a deep drumming sound, but the male Emus makes a harsher sound.

Its predators are lizards (which eat Emu eggs), Dingoes, eagles, non-native foxes dogs, and cats.
