Bud Not Buddy is a book about a kid who lives in an orphan home. His dad ran away and his mother died. When his mother died he went to an orphan home. He gets adopted by another family. He gets in trouble because the parents thought that hurt their other son. He runs away from them and then he tries to jump on a train going to Chicago. His friend gets on but he doesn't. Then he hears that Herman E. Calloway (his supposedly father) is in Grand Rapids. So he picks up his suitcase and starts to head to Grand Rapids.
