Ptolemy XII

Cleopatra's brother Ptolemy XII was king of ancient Egypt of the Macedonian Dynasty,he was the son of Ptolemy XI. On the death of his father, he was under the guardianship Pompey.

Only twelve, he was complety overshadowed from the start by his brillant and celebrated sister, Cleopatra, who became his beautiful wife and she ruled with him.

She disagreed with his advisers, notably the eunuch Pothinus, and she fled to Syria. She come back with an invading army lead by Julius Ceasar. The defeated Pompey had arrived seeking refuge and was put to death by the Pothinus. Ptolemey XII was killed.
