Ptolemy Auletes was born in between 116 and 108 BC. He died in 51 BC. He followed Ptolemy X to the throne, but he was so violentthet he caused the Alexandrians to rebel and dethrone him in 58 BC. He used the romans to regain the throne. He then made Pompey the guard of his sun, Ptolemy XII.
