Ptolemy I Philometer was born around 186 BCand died in 145. During this time Eypt was atacked by Antiochus IV. Ptolemy was captured and made a prisoner. Ptolemy VII took the throne and Antiochus went away. The brothers ruled together until fights broke out. The Romans gave Cyreniaca to Ptolemy VII to rule. When king Demitrious died the throne was offered to Ptolemy VI, however he turned it down so King Demitrious II couls have the throne. Ptolemy died while fighting a battle for Demitrious II against Alexander Balas.

The Egyptians used their boats as cars. There were no roads. Roads would be pointless since the floods would overflow and the roads would be washed away.
