Ptolemy III Euregates was born between 288 and 280 BC. He ruled from 246 to 221 BC. By marrying Berniece of Cyrene he united Cyrene to Egypt. He reined during a time when Egypt was at the hight of its power. Egypt also had many posetions due to atacks on Seluecus.

The gliff on the right shows one oar out and the sail down. Since the nile flowed South they had to row North.
