Edward Alleyn

 He was born in
 London on Sept.1,1566.
Alleyn was an English
actor.  He was not known
 to have acted in any of
  Shakespeare's plays.  In
1586 Alleyn was a well
established actor with the
 Worcester's Men Co.

  In 1590 he was with Lord
 Admiral's Men.  During the
 plague year he acted with
 Lord Strange's traveling
 company.  Alleyn married
 Joan Woodward.  He left
 the stage temporarily and
permanently by about 
 1604. 

In 1599 he began construction of the Fortune Theater.  Alleyn and Phillip Henslowe opened it in 1600.  It burned down in 1622,but was rebuilt the following year.  In 1613 Alleyn found the college of God's Gift in Dulwich.  In 1623 his first wife died.  But he was married to a woman named Constance a few months later.  Edward Alleyn died in Dulwich on Nov.25,1626.

Shakespeare was born in year 1564.  When he was about age 22 he went to London.  He then became an actor.  He wrote his first play a few years after.  He was criticized by other writers.  During the plague he started to write poems.  Shakespeare became part of "Lord Chamberlain's Men".  William Shakespeare died on April 23,1616.

Chris was born in Canterbury on February,1564, two months before Shakespeare.  He was an English poet and dramatist. He was the foremost writer of  tragedy in the English literature before Shakespeare.  On May 30 after supper in a nearby tavern, he was stabbed to death in a quarrel.  Christopher Marlowe died in 1593.
