Pike & Muskellunge

Northern pike and musky are in the same family. Pike occur in the Mississippi river. Musky occur in all three drainage basins in Wisconsin (Lake Michigan, Mississippi River, and Lake Superior). Spawning for pike starts in late March to early April, as the ice begins to break up in the spring. Musky spawning begins from mid-April to mid-May. The pike like cool waters. They are best to catch in the day-time.
