Have you ever wanted to learn what happens inside of a volcano? You might already know that lava comes out of a volcano. But did you know how it is formed? It is formed inside of a volcano in the magma chamber. Rocks and other bits of thing are melted in the magma chamber. Melted rock is called magma. When magma is still in the magma chamber it can make cracks in the earth and you can actually see the hot magma but do not go near it. Magma that reaches the earth's surface is called lava. Another thing that forms inside smoke but first the magma first has to make its way up the main vent. When the magma gets about half way the magma is hot enough it becomes lava a very hot liquid that burns down the rocks and stuff that the magma doesn't melt. The lava continues its way up the main vent getting hotter and hotter as it goes higher and higher up the main vent. When the lava is at the top of the main vent when the volcano is about to make an explosion. When the volcano makes the explosion ash and rocks blast out of the volcano top along with the lava and a dark dust cloud. The lava makes its way down the side of the volcano either going fast or slow. The lava burns down trees and other stuff including animals but some of the animals can survive the very hot very dangerous lava. Volcanoes are very dangerous.
