Fossils

Fossils are animals, plants, or any living thing that has been pressed overtime in mud and water  or in a rock.  When you find a fossil, you are usually looking at the bone structure or for plants, you are usually looking at the entire skeleton of the plant.  Some fossils you can still see some outer areas (especially if it is a frozen fossil such as some mummies).

The first fossils were one celled organisms.  Now a very popular fossil being hunted is dinosaur (by paleontologists).  The fullest dinosaur structure that started by dozens of fossils is a T-rex named Sue in a science museum in Chicago.

The one-celled organisms that started evolution eventually became humans and other living things. There are many different one-celled fossils and can be very rare.
