How to Read Your Meter!
Your meter might look like this.
This is an electric meter. An electric
meter normally has 4 dials. You read it by the numbers. If the
pointer is in between 2 numbers you record the lowest number. If
it is in between 9 and 0 you should record the 9 because 0 equals
10. Always read from left to right.
To figure how many kilowatthours have
been used, subtract your latest reading from your earlier reading.
Now, to figure your electric costs,
first contact your local electric company to find out the cost
of a kilowatthour. Then multiply the number of kilowatthours times
the cost per hour and this will tell you the cost of the electricty
you have used.
NOW GO OUTSIDE AND CHECK YOUR METER!
